Atlantic Resolve 2024

The past few days, a number of ships with American equipment were unloaded in the Netherlands for the next Atlantic Resolve exercise. The special thing about this rotation is that unloading took place in 2 different ports simultaneously. Both in Vlissingen and in Eemshaven. The last time I saw American equipment being moved to Eemshaven was more than 20 years ago. If you have the chance to come and watch for a day, you grab this opportunity (of course) with both hands

Every 9 months the rotation exercise Atlantic Resolve takes place, during this exercise a brigade ((Armoured) Brigade Combat Team, (A)bct) is rotated. While one brigade goes back to the US a new brigade arrives in various ports in Europe. This time a number of ships were unloaded in both Vlissingen and Eemshaven. It was the first time in more than 20 years that American equipment was unloaded in Eemshaven. The last time it was loaded. While in Vlissingen tanks and Bradley fighting vehicles were unloaded in addition to other rolling stock. In Eemshaven mainly engineering equipment was unloaded.
